Switching business phone providers

Most businesses stay on a phone system they dislike because changing it sounds risky. Done properly, the new system is built and tested before anything moves, and the numbers your customers dial never stop working.

    1. 1. We read your current bill with you

Line items, per-minute charges, taxes, hardware financing, contract end dates. This is where most of the surprise costs hide.

    2. 2. We design the replacement

Your call flow, extensions, queues and after-hours behaviour, written down and agreed before any configuration starts.

    3. 3. We build and test in parallel

The new system runs alongside your old one. You place real test calls until you're satisfied.

    4. 4. We port and cut over

Numbers move on a confirmed carrier window. $0 porting, and we handle the paperwork.

    5. 5. We train your team, then you cancel

Staff training on desktop, mobile and desk phones first — you only cancel the old service once the new one is proven.

    Common questions before switching

Do we lose our phone numbers?

No. We port your existing numbers at no charge. Your current service keeps running until the ported numbers are live and tested on the new system.

How long does a port take?

Porting timelines are set by your current carrier and the FCC process, not by us, so we won't quote you a date until we have your account details and the carrier confirms a window. We manage the paperwork and keep you updated.

Can we keep our existing desk phones?

Often yes, if they are standard SIP handsets. Send us the model numbers and we'll tell you honestly whether they will work or whether replacing them makes more sense.

What happens to our auto attendant and voicemail?

We rebuild your call flow on the new system before cutover, including the auto attendant, ring groups and voicemail boxes, and test it with you. Old voicemail messages stay with your previous provider.

What does it cost to switch?

Porting is $0. Plans start at $279/month, and the one-time system build fee is half of your first monthly total and is waived with a 12-month agreement.
